This episode of Walk The Razor also serves as the last Daily Jeezit Podcast. I introduce the new site concept as well as talk about the new series at Riverview Church: Exposed.
.:The Final Daily Jeezit Podcast:.
.:Why Crap Happens:.
Not only do I address a question about why Crap Happens in this episode, but it is the first “Live Recording,” which was simultaneously broadcast live at BlogTalkRadio.com. While I didn’t have any callers this time around, I am definitely interested in the answers to the following questions:
1) Would you listen live if the timing was right?
2) Would you call in and interact with me if it was a topic you were interested in?
3) If “yes” to #2, give me a sample topic.
4) Was the audio quality too annoying for me to keep live broadcasting it?
As always, this episode is also available via YouTube and MP3 download. Enjoy.
.:Sanctification:.
This episode is in response to this email I received during my series on the Mosaic Law:
Hey Noel,
I’m really excited about this series, I think it is going to be a great reminder of the law that we are now set apart from because of Christ. I had a question though about the distinction between the perfection that Christ offers us when we accept Him and the sanctification process that is talked about in the new testament. Perfection seems to come the moment we enter relationship with Christ, but santification is talked about as a process in some of Paul’s letters. So if we are perfect already, what does it mean to be santified?
.:Schooling:.
In this episode, I chat through the strengths and weaknesses of home-schooling, public schooling, and private schooling. I also talk about why my wife and I have chosen to do a hybrid of home and public schooling. This is in response to a recent conversation on my blog.

.:God Humor:.
This long awaited episode is a response to the following comment I got on my site after I posted the “God Humor” montage from Family Guy.
Here’s the comment:
These do make me laugh but In my heart I feel as though I am betraying my father and my king. Would I laugh at him in person? It just seems to cheapen his value and what he has done for me. Having said that, Noel, does God ever trip and fall into a cream pie in heaven? How hard will I laugh when I get there, and when I get to heaven will I think all clean jokes are funny?
Thanks
.:Growing Up Christian:.
In this dealio, I respond to this question:
Hey Noel-
So, I have a question.
I was brought up with about a year of Sunday School under my belt in regards to Christianity in our home. After that, my dad, who I looked up to as being a completely reasonable and rational person, would sometimes voice his stance of being an atheist. I feel as though my looking up to him, in addition to there being no Christian influences at the time, completely shaped how I personally viewed religion as I grew up. It wasn’t until I got out of the house and had some significant life experiences that I started reconsidering my own views on religion. However, it was only when I started to consider there being a balance among logic, emotion and faith in the core of Christianity that I truly opened my heart to God.
Now onto that question…
How do you feel that your “religious upbringing” has impacted your own approach to Christianity? If at all, for that matter.
Here’s the video, as always the audio links are at the bottom of the post:
.:International Justice Mission:.
Tonight, we had an amazing concert at Riverview in support of International Justice Mission. As part of the concert, I had the opportunity to video chat with Marianne Skelly (a Riverview person who serves with IJM in southeast asia).
In this episode, I play that interview for you.
If you want to find out more you can go to any of these links:
As always, the audio version is at the bottom of this post and the video is here:
.:Can We All Just Get Along?:.
In this episode, I chat with Michael Spencer, The Internet Monk about getting along with other Christians. The recording isn’t the best, because I am still working on the settings. Please forgive the choppiness.
This piece in response to a post Michael did on his site regarding this video:
Here’s the video of my podcast. As always, you can download or play the audio, as well. The links for that are at the bottom of the post.

.:Suicide:.
On this episode, I tackle a very personal question about suicide.
[Sorry about the sound quality. I recorded it outside and the wind was blowing harder than I realized.]
Noel,
I’ve always wanted to ask you opinion of something but never have had the opportunity…Ok so my mother comitted suicide when I was 15. I still have some issues with that (who would’nt). I also was the one to find her (one of my issues). Anyways growing up we went to ******* church, not my parents just my sisters and me. My mother would drop us off every Sunday and Wednsday. Well when she died the church turned their back on me and my sisters. Our pastor did preform the funeral but after that nothing. My dad did not make us go back. The funeral is an issue. [The pastor] kept saying things like pray for her and where she is now and pray for her sins. He to me was saying she’s in hell so pray for her poor soul and her poor children. This really stuck with me all these years because nobody wants to think their mother is in hell. So my Question to you is do you think everyone who commits suicide is in hell or does god look at the circumstances? And Why would a church turn their back on seven, yes seven sisters who could’ve really use the help? I felt the church could’nt handle the label of suicide and since we did’nt bring in much money if any at all, we were expendable. What is your position on suicide? Don’t sugar coat it just give it to me. I can handle it.
.:Papal Authority:.
In this episode, I respond to this email:
I’ve been talking a lot lately with some good Catholic friends of mine, and I realized that, even though I’ve always considered myself pretty knowledgable about the Bible, I haven’t been able to answer them as I feel I ought in certain areas (papal authority comes to mind). I know this is a very vague request, but do you or any of the other pastors know of any good resources specifically speaking about some of the doctrines of Catholicism? Even if it’s only a book title or two, I’d really appreciate your help.
Not only that, but I am launching the visual version of this podcast (complete with Red Face because of bad lighting on my first try). Please leave me a comment and let me know if you want me to keep up with the video version as well as the audio version.
